Knitting is Healing

Everything heals through knitting.

Whether I have been:
Supporting my mom and sitting in waiting rooms during her previous cancer surgeries,
Pouring my appreciation and recognition of close friendships into a gift they can wear,
Getting over past relationships,
Sitting calmly, keeping my dad company during hospice duty, or
Bringing a bit of comfort and warmth to my aunt during her chemo treatments,
knitting has always been there.

If I have made something for you, I care about you. I may even love you.

Vampire Summer

There’s been something unique about this summer.

Maybe it’s a yearning for Autumn, maybe it’s the thoughts of strawberries and of Strawberry Hill House. It feels gothic: enduring the long, humid summer days and finding solace in cooler nights. Day becomes a time for protection and rest, the darkness an invitation to enjoy the world.
